A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO
A Year to Remember
As we draw to the end of another challenging year, I would like to wish you all a safe and happy holiday.
The Nakango Vision Integration Community Services was recognized as Community Engagement of the Year Award Gala Ceremony was held on Saturday 4 December 2021. We were very happy to be recognized.
Special congratulations to Benjamin Sidique, the 2021 Nakango Vision Volunteer of the Year. Congratulations to all of the award recipients and all of the amazing nominees across our Fairfield LGAs multicultural community.
At each event it has been a privilege to meet volunteers and to hear the extraordinary work they do, through some amazing organisations across the communities. We celebrated this work with their proud families, friends, MPs, Mayors, and local organizations.
The Nakango Vision Multicultural Integration Community Services is fortunate to have generous supporters who champion Nakango Vision and these awards. In particular I would like to thank the Patron of The Nakango Vision of the Year Awards, the NSW Minister for Families, Department of Home Affairs, Disability Employment Services, Multicultural NSW our principal Government partner, the Department of Communities and Justice, NSW TAFE our Corporate Partner for their ongoing support, without which the awards would not be possible.
I also want to thank the sponsors of the Agape Community Church Australia, MAMANAVA Pty Ltd, Congolese Women NSW, Alfa Omega, OZ Harvest and IMB Bank.
Thank you to everyone who nominated Nakango Vision Multicultural Integration Community Services for the awards this year. Helping The Community
With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right accomodation assistance to create a healthy, inclusive community where everyone has a right to adequate shelter. High quality temporary accommodation provides for utilising integrated support services and people entering homelessness, such as people leaving prison. With an existing severe shortage of social housing, an expected long-term economic down turn, and limits on the availability of crisis accomodation.
